Mishkah · مشكاة

Mishkah does not collect your data. There is no account, no analytics, no
advertising, and no server belonging to us. This policy describes the whole of
it, because there is very little to describe.
Nothing. Mishkah has no backend. The app makes no network requests of its
own, and no information about you is transmitted to the developer, ever.
windows and the qibla direction. Stored only on your device.
your device.
Apple; we store only a local flag recording that you are a supporter.
Deleting the app deletes all of it.
When you grant location, Mishkah asks Apple's geocoding service to turn your
coordinates into a city name, so the app can show "Riyadh" rather than a pair of
numbers. Those coordinates go to Apple under
Apple's Privacy Policy. They do not come
to us, and they are not sent anywhere else.
If you would rather this never happened, do not grant location. Mishkah then
uses Makkah as its default and remains fully functional.
There are none. Mishkah contains no advertising, analytics, attribution or
crash-reporting SDK. Its only external components are two open-source libraries
that run entirely on your device and have no network access: GRDB (a local
database) and adhan-swift (prayer-time calculation).
Mishkah does not track you across apps or websites, and does not ask for
permission to do so.
Mishkah is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It collects nothing from anyone,
children included.
The Qur'anic text is Tanzil's Uthmani edition, used verbatim. Translations are
by the Rowwad Translation Center. The mushaf typefaces are the King Fahd
Glorious Quran Printing Complex's, redistributed unmodified under their licence.
Adhkar are from Hisn al-Muslim. Full attributions are inside the app.
If this policy ever changes, the date above changes with it. Because the app
collects nothing, we do not anticipate material changes.
